WSPA charity officials are asking for your help to put an end to the cruel cattle transportation of sheep from Australia to Indonesia. Nearly 40,000 sheep die making this journey every year through cramped conditions and starvation, something that need to be stopped NOW. There is an accompanying video to this appeal, but after watching it myself, I decided that it was too shocking to post on the blog.
The way these animals are treated is completely unnecessary, and something needs to be done to put an end to this cruel method of transport. If you want to witness how these animals are treated, click on the link below, but believe me, it’s not for the faint hearted –
The sheep have to travel for weeks on end with hardly any food and absolutely no room to move, with many of them dying through sickness and disease. The Australian government need to be told that this cruel practice is totally unacceptable and needs to stop. Simply click on the link below to sign a letter to Australian Minister for Agriculture, Joe Ludwig, and add your voice to that of thousands who want this to end now.
It only takes a minute, and hopefully with enough people joining the petition, Senator Ludwig will have to act now. This cruel transportation of cattle has gone on for far too long already.
