NSPCC charity campaigner Paul Ntulila, has been appointed as Youth Representative on the London Olympic 2012 Diversity and Inclusion Board. Paul, who is deaf and been a member of the NSPCC Talk to Trustees group, has been an NSPCC campaigner for six years. Paul is seen as a role model for deaf young people,and has been pivotal in helping people understand the needs of the deaf community.
NSPCC Children and young people advisor, Emily Cherry, said –
Paul is an inspirational young person who is determined to make a difference to all young people and promote deaf issues. I’m sure he will succeed in this exciting new role and he is already committed to ensuring he promotes NSPCC to the 2012 committee. He’s a great example of the effectiveness of involving children and young people in our work.
Paul will have important role on youth representative at the London Olympic 2012 Diversity and Inclusion Board. Not only will he be adding his views to ensure tickets are accessible to a wide range of people, but also making sure that young people are volunteering and are excited about the challenge.
Long term NSPCC supporter and 2012 Olympic Ambassador Floella Benjamin was so inspired by Paul that she nominated him for the position, which he was awarded after impressing at his interview.
