Greenpeace is asking for your help to give Levi Strauss 501 THOUSAND reasons to join their detox campaign! Unfortunately, Levi jeans contain serious hazardous chemicals which break down to form toxic pollution. These chemicals have are being discharged into waterways in Mexico, so why not join Greenpeace in asking Levi to stop this process.
Here’s a few of the facts –
- Levi Strauss is the world’s largest jeans company. If they Detox, it will make a major difference to the world
- Levi products contain hazardous chemicals which break down in the environment
- Levi already run has a chemical policy to manage the chemicals, not stop them.
- Levi should be leading the field in environmental challenges
Over 50,000 people have already signed the Greenpeace petition (including me!) to try and already convince one of the world’s largest fashion retailers to Detox. Greenpeace has just successfully convinced Zara to eliminate their use of hazardous chemicals by 2020, so why not Levi’s too!
More than 320,000 people asked Zara to make the Detox, and we can go one step further in getting 501,000 people to help convince Levi’s that now is the time for change. They already have a chemical policy set up, so why not look to eliminate all sources of pollution rather than just manage them?
Simply click on the link below to add your voice to the growing number of people asking Levi Strauss to Detox, as their current practices are holding us back from the toxic free future we all want to live in. It literally takes less than a minute and really will help to make today the day we all make a difference.
