Celebrities Raises Thousands in Donations for Action Aid UK

The celebrities were out in force last week to help raise thousands of pounds in funds for Action Aid UK. Stars such as Clive Anderson, Michael Buerk, Brian Cox, Lucy Porter and Andy Parsons were joined by hundreds of dedicated wine connoisseurs in an evening of Call My Wine Bluff, with as much as £120,000 raised on the evening.

The event, based around the classic TV game show of yesteryear, saw the celebrity panel try to deceive the audience with fictitious stories about the various wines they were tasting, with hilarious results!

There were some huge donations made on the night, with on auction closing at £20,000 for a stay at Glastonbury’s luxury Camp Kerala!

Action Aid UK Head of Communications, Sue Bishop, said –

It’s such a fantastic night out, not just because of the wine and good humour, but because everyone comes together to change the world. We really made a difference tonight.
