Don’t forget to sign up for one of the many Cancer Research UK Race for Life events across the country this year. Over 5.4million people have taken part since it’s inception, raising over £362 million in the process! This amazing tally has provided the funding for 4,000 researchers, doctors and nurses who dedicate their lives in helping people to beat cancer, and you too can join the cause.
This year their will be over 300 events across the country, which will once again be supported by Tesco, who since their 10 year affiliation with the health charity, and have raised over £7million with more than 170,000 members of staff taking part.
We even took part ourselves here at the Donation4Charity offices, if you’d like to read about our exploits click here. We raised over £1000, and nearly causing me to have a mental and physical breakdown along the way (that’s what you get for not training!) This year promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s effort, so why not get involved and join the fight against this killer disease with Cancer Research and their army of supporters.
