WWF UK ambassador Ben Fogle will be helping to raise funds for the wildlife charity by riding 100km overnight around London landmarks on 9th and 10th June 2012 after you chose him to take part in the Nightrider event. WWF offered the public the chance to see Ben take part in a challenge of their choice, to help raise awareness and funds for their work in helping to protect the natural world. So with over 50% of the vote, Ben will now be taking part in this amazing 100km cycling challenge.
During the overnight ride, Ben will pass more than 50 of London’s most famous landmarks, including –
- Tower Bridge
- Canary Wharf
- London Zoo
- Piccadilly Circus
- London Eye
- Trafalgar Square
- Royal Albert Hall
to name but a few. The ride should take a minimum of 6 hours through the night, and you can join in yourself if you like! The event is currently sold out, but WWF still have some places left. Just click on the link below to fill in the online application form and join Ben on this amazing journey round London.
WWF’s High Profile Personalities Manager, Lucy Parratt, said –
Ben has been a high profile supporter of our work for some time, so we were delighted that he was willing to take up this challenge, and to let the public decide! We are delighted that so many people made their vote, so now it’s just a matter of Ben getting on his bike. Good luck Ben!
