Telly presenter OJ Borg saw a completely different set stars than he may usually when he came a cropper at the Tatton Park Triathlon last week in Cheshire. Whilst taking part in the gruelling cycle part of the event, OJ lost control of his bike and ended up unconscious with a large gash across his forehead.
Luckily for him, British Red Cross first aiders were on hand to assist and take him straight to a nearby Manchester hospital where he received stitches. OJ was just one of 28 casualties on the day, in what sounds like quite a tough competition!

I support the work of the British Red Cross, in particular their efforts to get everyone taught life-saving skills. Accidents such as the one I had at the weekend can happen to anyone and it not only helps but is comforting to have the knowledge that someone nearby can help. First aid learning is now more accessible has been developed specifically to be easy to learn, easy to do and fit in with people’s busy lives; so we should all go for it.
